Blogger is a blogging platform -- and for users who don't have their own URLs, a free hosting service -- operated by Google. WordPress is an unaffiliated blogging and hosting platform. Both Blogger and WordPress include a feature that allows you to export your blog in XML for hosting on another blogging platform and import XML files you've exported from other platforms. Transferring your Blogger blog to WordPress requires only a few clicks of your mouse.
